About Our Theater

The MAC Theater is a non-profit, non-union, volunteer theater company.

About Our Theater

The MAC Theater presents four to five shows each year in our beautifully renovated Anne Braitmayer Webb Theater. Productions run the gamut from poignant dramas to laugh-out-loud musicals, all made possible by volunteer performers and crews passionate about creating theater of the highest quality. Our stage boasts a brand new professional lighting and sound system. In addition to comfortable theater seats, we offer reserved, cabaret-style tables where guests can enjoy refreshments. The MAC offers a wonderful local theater experience to anyone who wants to see a great production or get behind the scenes and join our troop of actors and stage crew.

The MAC is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters (EMACT).

MAC Theater Mission Statement

The Marion Art Center Theater program strives to entertain, enlighten, and educate the larger community (Marion and beyond) in order to provide a valuable contribution to the cultural life of that community. We seek to provide the opportunity for residents to express themselves in quality theater craft as well as receive the results and benefits of that craft. In addition, our goal is to continually evaluate how we can best achieve these goals and develop programs that provide outreach to the community as a whole and the theatrical community in particular.

Sponsoring MAC Productions

The MAC Theater would not be possible without the support of many individuals and local businesses. Sponsoring a MAC play or musical is a great way to advertise for your business, plus our sponsors reach multiple groups when the MAC partners with other non-profit organizations. Your sponsorship defrays the cost of production, which allows us to keep our ticket prices low. We offer seasonal or one-time sponsorship opportunities. Please contact us to find out more about sponsoring the MAC Theater.

Several MAC events, including MAC Theater productions, have been generously supported by grant funding through the Mass Cultural Council.
