Description: The MAC hosts one-on-one piano lessons for beginning through intermediate-level students, ages six through adult.  Half-hour lessons will include music theory and improvisation, and students will have preparation and opportunities to perform.  Parents are welcome to observe lessons.  Students must have an instrument to practice on (either traditional piano or keyboard with full-size keys).

Masks are required while inside the MAC. Lessons will be spaced fifteen minutes apart to allow time for sanitizing piano and to avoid overlap with other guests. Adequate distance between instructor and student will be maintained per state regulations.

Please note: Current MAC membership at the Family level (or above) is required for discounted children’s tuition.  If you are uncertain if your membership is current, please call the MAC at (508)748-1266.

About the Instructor:  Frances Belcher has been teaching piano students for many years and has experience with both private and group instruction.  Her education includes a degree in Music Education in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Tennessee with further study at the University of Memphis and at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD.

Frances recently retired from 20 years in Arts Administration where her commitment to the value of music education for all students led her to found and manage a program for after-school string instruction in Baltimore City.  The Bridges Program continues, having served over 1500 students to date, providing lessons, use of an instrument, and orchestral experiences for elementary-aged children.
