We don’t want to tell you what to do...
But, a darn near perfect summer night out is coming up on Friday, July 11th - start with the opening reception for Duets: Two Artists and Our Blue Planet, featuring works by long-time friends Lisa Goren & Heather Stivison.
Look at the cool art and meet the cool artists, maybe have a wee sip of something cold and then head over to the Fireman Performing Arts Center at Tabor.
Why?
The Buzzards Bay Musicfest Swing Band starts at 7:30 pm - conveniently after the MAC reception. The concert features the music of composers Scott Joplin, W. C. Handy, Lil Harden, George Gershwin, Freddie Green, Fats Waller, Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, Paul Desmond and Kenny Garrett. 245 Front St., Marion. The best part – free admission everywhere.
