Call for Entries
Winter Members' Show
Show Dates: Saturday, January 11 - Friday, February 14, 2025
Opening Reception: Saturday, January 11, 3:00-5:00pm

The Marion Art Center announces a call for entries to its annual Winter Members' Show. All MAC members are invited to enter up to two pieces each. All works must be original, must have been executed by the artist within the last five years, and must not have been previously shown at the Marion Art Center. The MAC will not exhibit works that are in poor condition (including frame) or are not properly prepared for simple installation.

To exhibit, members should drop off artwork to the MAC at 80 Pleasant Street, Marion, MA on Saturday, January 4 between 10am-2pm or Tuesday, January 7 between 10am-2pm. Artists can download and print the consignment agreement below. To request an email copy of the contract, or to submit questions, email info@marionartcenter.org. Description

A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden.

Cast size – 3 men, 3 women

The audition will consist of readings from various scenes from the script with others auditioning. Copies of audition scenes are available to be picked up at the MAC Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3 from 10am-4pm each day.
