Join us for the Marion Art Center’s first ever “YArt” Sale! Come shop for lightly used art supplies, equipment, books, and teaching resources. The event will take place in the multipurpose room at Sippican Elementary School.
The vendor/seller registration form is now closed. We’ll see you there as a shopper!
Want to offload some art supplies? We’ll sell your unwanted materials! Vendor applications are due by Friday, April 19.
The MAC will accept gently used, unused, or new items in good condition such as:
- Art Paper (watercolor papers, mostly unused sketchbooks, sketch pads, graphite paper, tracing paper, etc.)
- Art Books: Instructional books, art textbooks, art history books, art theory, lingo, and criticism, artist books, exhibition catalogues (hardcover), kids’ art books, lesson materials, teaching resources (no magazines or outdated resources please)
- Fine art posters in very good condition
- Canvas or linen fabric for painting, stretched canvases on frames in good condition (no warped frames, loose material, holes in canvas, etc.); Easels (tabletop or standing easels, travel easels, plein air kits)
- Watercolors, soft or oil pastels, acrylic or oil paints (containers/tubes in clean/sealable condition), India ink, charcoal, drawing pencils and pens, etc.
- Brushes, palette knives, clean paint mixing trays or sheets
- Ceramic/pottery and sculpture supplies: ribs, sponges, sculpting/carving tools, wood carving tools, turners, templates
- Printmaking/block printing/screen printing supplies: lino blocks, clean screens, carving tools, stencils, templates, stamps
- Jewelry/metalsmithing supplies: fine jewelry beads, metals, findings (no plastic or craft materials), pliers, tools, etc.
- Textile/Fiber art supplies: Skeins of unused quality yarn, knitting/crochet needles and supplies, weaving supplies, undyed/unprinted 100% natural fabric yardage such as cotton, linen, rayon, leather, silk or wool (no polyester or mixed materials, no scraps), fabric scissors in good condition, cutting mats, rulers, rotary cutters, etc.
Items we will NOT accept:
- Items that are broken, torn, moldy or dirty
- Recyclables such as plastic take out containers, cardboard paper towel tubes, etc.
- Styrofoam
- Craft supplies such as popsicle sticks, feathers, pipe cleaners, plastic beads, fabric scraps, kids’ craft materials, etc.
- Textile “notions” such as buttons, zippers, elastic, sewing needles, and other small items
- Art pieces or completed artwork
