Visit the Marion Art Center for the opening night viewing for Art in Bloom. See creative floral arrangements inspired by works in our current show, Profusion of Color: Abstracts, on display in the MAC galleries. Featured artists include Alyn Carlson, Pat Coomey Thornton, and Pat Warwick.

All are invited to participate by creating an arrangement! Visit the MAC galleries to view the current exhibit. Choose one of the works on display to inspire your artistic floral creation. There will be only one designer or design team per artwork – be sure to check with MAC staff when selecting your inspirational artwork. Designers may use and available pedestals for displaying arrangements but are encouraged to bring their own unique stand of appropriate size and height. All arrangements should be delivered to the Marion Art Center on Thursday, June 23 by 12:00pm.

Art in Bloom features inventive floral arrangements on display in the  galleries for two to three days in June. The arrangements, created by members of the Marion Garden Group and other local designers, are inspired by artworks in the MAC exhibition currently on view. Participants, working individually or in pairs, create floral interpretations of a specific piece of their choosing. The MAC also offers various workshops during Art in Bloom, such as flower pressing, paper flower creation, and more!
