Youth Theater at the MAC

The MAC is pleased to announce a NEW after school program for ages 9-12. Young actors in this interactive afternoon theater program will explore multiple facets of theater craft both on stage and behind the scenes. Activities may include acting, improvisation, costume creation, stage management, tech, and movement. Students should wear comfortable clothes each day.

Note: Sippican School students can come directly to the MAC for the program, but parents may need to provide release forms to allow independent walkers to walk to the MAC. Pick up is at 5:30pm.

After School Youth Theater (ages 9-12)
Mondays: October 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24 (6 weeks)
3:30-5:30pm in the MAC Theater or Upper Gallery (2 hours)
$195 for MAC members | $225 for nonmembers

Garrett Olson (he/him) joined the MAC as our ArtStart Music and Movement teacher in 2025 and served as our program director for our new summer camp, All Things Theater. He has also taught several acting workshops for adults at the MAC.
Olson is a professional working actor, director, screenwriter, film maker, song writer, seasoned fight director/stunt coordinator, intimacy director/choreographer captain and safety/accessibility consultant for stage and screen. He is currently the Technical Director and Associate Artistic Director for the WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company, co-founder and one of the managing/creative producers for Danu Pictures, and is the former Technical Director/acting coach/accessibility consultant for the Boston Zombie Apocalypse. An accomplished teaching artist and combatant instructor, Garrett’s classes in public speaking, acting, staged violence, and improv are crafted for students of all levels and abilities. Classes include adaptive programs to accommodate all abilities creating a truly immersive and inclusive opportunity for learning and growth.
