Create your own ornaments with Coastal Nomad

$55 for MAC Members, $65 for nonmembers

Class size: 6-15 students
Experience: All skill levels including beginners
Accessibility: There are several steps with handrails leading downstairs into our lower level studio.

Join Coastal Nomad for a fun and creative afternoon of oyster shell ornament making, paired with a special wine tasting from J Sull of Marion!

During this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the art of decoupage while transforming oyster shells into beautiful, one-of-a-kind ornaments. Choose from a variety of holiday, coastal, and everyday designs to create two unique ornaments to take home, perfect for decorating or gifting.

No experience is necessary for this class. All materials and step-by-step instructions will be provided by the instructor.

From Christina Clement, creator of Coastal Nomad:

Growing up in Massachusetts, I’ve always had a love for the ocean, the beach, and collecting shells. My journey into shell decorating began during a fun day in Chatham with my sister, where we made shell magnets at a local craft store. I immediately fell in love with the idea and quickly discovered that decorating shells was a relaxing escape from my busy corporate job and a wonderful way to express my creativity.

Since then, I’ve continued to explore and practice the art of decoupage, creating a variety of coastal-inspired designs and custom ornaments for family and friends. With their encouragement to share my creations with others, and my love for traveling and exploring new destinations, Coastal Nomad was born. I enjoy sharing my love of the ocean and this creative process through workshops — encouraging others to relax, have fun, and create something beautiful and unique to take home!
