Spring Arts | Latin Percussion Concert

Sample scintillating salsa as Latin percussionist Jesús Andujar invites you to a hands-on dive into the wonderful world of congas, timbales, guiros, cabasas, djembes, claves, bongos and shakers.  Jesús will not only perform his own rhythmic improvisations, he will also invite you to learn some basic patterns and join in the fun. Drums and shakers will be supplied, but you should plan to bring your imagination as you unlock the sonic creativity of these instruments. First-time percussionists of all ages are welcome, as well as those who would just like to listen and soak it all in.

Health & Safety Policy

Effective April 1, 2022, guests are strongly encouraged, but no longer required, to wear facial coverings at events unless specifically requested by the performing artist(s). All attendees must provide documentation of full vaccination against the COVID-19 virus or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test within 72 hours or antigen test administered by a provider within 24 hours of the show that you are attending). Proof of vaccination or a negative test will be required for all ages for anyone entering the MAC Theater. Both physical vaccination cards as well as clear photo(s) on a mobile device will be accepted.

The MAC will continue to evaluate its policies, which are subject to change at any time. Ticket holders will be notified of any changes prior to the event date. If you are experiencing any symptoms or have recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please do not attend a MAC event. You may contact the MAC at info@marionartcenter.org, and we will gladly apply the price of your unused ticket to a future MAC event.
