Taking Better Photos With your Smartphone.
SORRY, THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.
To take better photos with a Smartphone you don’t need a particular app, you need to take creative control. Taking Better Photos with your Smartphone is a basic level workshop that will focus on the elements visual storytelling. It will begin with a short talk demonstrating how Focus, Exposure and Composition are used on a smartphone to create stronger images. Then we will take our smartphones for a walk around Bicentennial Park and practice the techniques discussed. At the end participants can submit a few favorites for possible inclusion on the MAC Instagram account.
Deb Ehrens uses her camera to create contemplative and painterly imagery. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Boston, Providence, New Bedford, and Cape Cod and featured in YourDailyPhotograph.com and LAPhotoCurator.com.
Note: Both iPhone and Android phones are welcome. The content is about image-making and not phone-specific. While there will be some brief discussion of how to keep images organized and how to send them, it will not delve into image processing apps.
