Improvisation and Theater Games for the Performer

Calling all amateur actors: would you like to become less inhibited, more creative and expressive on stage? Join theater director and actor John Heavey for a series of high energy and fun improvisation exercises and theater games at this two-hour workshop.  You’ll come away with a new “tool kit” of techniques and exercises to use with any future role or performance challenge.

John Heavey has taught English and directed plays at various schools for the past 40 years.  For the past 23 years, John has been one of the drama directors at Tabor Academy where he has directed over 30 musical and dramatic productions. While living in the Boston area, John performed at The Vokes Players in Wayland, MA where appeared in over ten shows.  At the Marion Art Center, John recently appeared as George Bailey in the radio play version of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
