YOUTH THEATER: (ages 9 – 12)
will meet on Thrusdays, 4:30 – 6:00 pm, September 9th – November 18th.
Students will learn basic theater craft through the process of putting on a
production of “Not So Grimm Tales,” a humorous modernization of selected Grimm’s
fairy tales. The production will be on November 19th at 7:30 p.m.
Nancy Sparklin, instructor. The fee for the 11-week session is $160/175.
CLASSES:
SATURDAY MORNING ART: Term I:
September 11 – October 16, Term II: October 23 – December 4th, 10 –
11:30 am. Kendra D’Angora is the instructor and returns after a successful
summer session with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The fee for each 6-week
session is $150/$165. Most materials included.
CHILDREN’S THEATER: (ages 6 –
8) meets on Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30. Session I is September 7th to
October 12th. Session II is October 19th – November 23rd.
Each week the children will learn basic theater craft through drama games,
readers’ theater and experience the fun of the stage while rehearsing for a
small production of selected “Fairy Tale” plays to be performed the last week of
each session. Nancy Sparklin is the instructor and has been activity head of
music art ARTSTART and assistant director/accompanist for many shows, most
recently “Imagine, an American Girl Musical.” The fee for each six-week session
is $75/$90.

DANCING
SCHOOL Teah
Mazzoni, Instructor
DANCE: Term I –
September 13 – December 13. Preschool (ages 3 & 4)
meets Mondays, 4:00 – 4:30 and will include introduction to
ballet & tap. Kinderstep (ages 5 & 6) meets Mondays,
4:30 – 5:15. Students will learn more ballet and tap
techniques. Beginners (ages 7 – 9) meet Mondays, 5:15 –
6 pm. and will explore barre work, positions and more ballet and
tap. Teah Mazzoni Johnson is the instructor and begins her
fourth year at the art center as choreographer and head of the
Dance Academy. Tuition is $135/$150 for preschool, $150/$165
for Kinderstep and Beginners.
Teah
Mazzoni, Instructor, has a M.Ed degree from Bridgewater State
College and holds a B.S. from UMass Amherst where she graduated
cum laude. She was trained at Sherry Gold Dance Studio and
taught and choreographed at Kathy Medina’s Dance School. Teah
currently teaches second grade at Rochester Memorial School.
She choreographed MAC’s production of “Annie” last summer.
