Arts in the Park

ARTS IN THE PARK was held this Saturday, July 12th, from 10 am to 4 pm in Bicentennial Park, corner of Main & Spring Streets in Marion.  The weather was perfect for this juried event  hosted by the Marion Art Center and featured the following artisans and artists:

Colleen McIntire (bags), Mike McCarthy (hand-carved birds), ceramics by Kim Barry, Hollis Engley, Lark Roderigues and Pat Warwick; clothing and accessories by Sue Handman, Elizabeth Howland, Pam Lofblad, Cindy Walsh; hats by Ann McMahon, plus kids clothing by The Hole Thing, puppets by Barbara Harrold, jewelry by Toni Cardoza,Lynn Hohn, Harmony Jusseaume, Liz Lavalley, Sarah Morse and Diana Taft; glass by Peter Guilday and David Jusseaume; painted pieces by Lissa Magauran Judy Miller, Seed Pods; Paintings, photos and collage by Mary Ross, Tucker Aufranc, Caryn Koffman, Anne Converse, Claudin Poyant, Russell Saunders, Veronique Bale, Barbara McDowell, Gail Nauen, Sharlie Sudduth, handn-painted chairs by Sarah Brown, whimsical hand-carved and painted fish by Ned Gallagher and silhouettes by Carol Lebeaux. 

Music was provided by Bill Kiesewetter and his jazz combo in the morning, and Truman Terrell on keyboard in the afternoon.  Food was provided by Uncle Jon’s , and there was t-shirt painting and book sales throughout the day.
